Building my ICF house Part 1 : Intro and site work

In this video, I explain some details about my new house I am building. A real ICF house with no wood involved. Concrete floors and roof. I also do the site work and get ready to lay some footings.

I'm 73 and worked all my life till getting crippled so the keyboards been my ability to reach out and talk with fingers to real people with real ambition. Something that your not short on either. I watched the layouts and kinda got the idea and then when digging commenced I knew I was on the right track... as I seen more good dirt uncover I was at a point of hollering Wah hooo. I was so happy for you to hit some dang decent soil for grass or even road bedding with all the gravel mix. Better yet was no massive rocks. I saw that there was someone driving the truck and again seeing things that must of made you go to yourself.... "okay then, we have launch" and the video just keeps going in the right direction. So Jesse, to say that I am happy for you is a understatement. We are nearing end of july quick and the rain continues yet parts of our country is burning down... I will fight the rain rather than melt. I live in alaska where seventy is like "who let the dogs out" and so as you go on, I see some men working with/for as nothing comes free. I believe they are the same guys that helped you with the basement and addition on a house built through winter months. I don't know how long you can keep money coming in from working to keep this job going but just maybe youtube gratuities will help. Don't be afraid to do a patreon account and do some live feeds so the public can give some towards the build. I know this sounds crude but I will say it with caution.... a pretty lady doing the lunches and some goffering like more nails, screws and other stuff that runs out while doing your forms. I am curious as to... are you going to use pandecking? Seems that would make pouring that roof a bit easier also. I see them use it on freeway overpasses and other things where gravity just isn't your friend. Still have august and that is about when the first pour will start if I was a betting man but there is the time difference of videoing and uploading to the air. You just may have a floor or entrance... something already in mud but I shall wait for the next part on tip toes now!

I just watched part of your 14th video about the icf concrete roof....wonderful! I was a student in Germany and Austria many years ago and fell in love the way they build their houses out of concrete. I was telling my sister that in the future...whenever that would be....I can build my own icf house. Your house comes the closest to what I want to do in the future. I'm going to watch all of your videos, now that I saw video 14 and how far you came. You really are a master builder!
