In the popular Corsian resort Calvi one does find some true train treasures. Before they become extinct I managed to record one of the last remaining Renault AHB8 railcars along with their Billard trailer X206. While I was filming this during my summer holiday in Corsica these trains seemed to have been already retired. In recent years these diesel trains were the most important means of public travel on the island. CFC - Chemins de Fer de la Corse was operating them and currently they are replacing these wonderful diesel units by modern diesel cars. When I was a teenager I was sitting in one of these trains and travelling from Calvi to L'lle Rousse through the picturesque landscape. I will miss this diesel cars a lot once they are gone completely. This video was made on August 10th, 2012.
