I love the sleeper status of this thing, I mean no one would expect it to be fast, it's just a Passat why would they. Until you start pulling away from them.

I got one yesterday, a R36 Blue Sedan from 2008 with only 166.500 kilometers (not miles) on the clock and looking like it came from the showroom. For a price I could NOT ignore.
I am much more a (model)train lover rather than a car lover and I only need a car to go from A to B in a reliable and comfortable manner.
The exhaust roar isn't really my cup of tea and I don't know why it makes that noise even with the modest driving style I have. But OK, The car looks very nice in and out and has quite a bit of power which is also nice but I will never go much faster than 110 kilometers an hour on the Highway. I find durability much more important than power and that's why I appreciate the 3.6 liter engine. If I drive it in a modest way it should last long and be reliable (what I hope). I drive a 08 VW Passat VR6 4Motion Wagon with the 3 rear mufflers deleted and the sound always make me smile... The Tiptronic transmission is a major letdown though.
