As a medical professional, I made the decision to depart from England seventeen years ago. The reason behind this choice was the extensive workload, exceeding 75 hours per week, coupled with a taxation system where the government claimed half of my income through taxes, in addition to various supplemental levies. These funds were allocated to sustaining 35% of the British economy, supporting individuals reliant on social benefits and contributing to questionable military engagements with the United States, all financed by our contributions. Presently residing in Dubai, a jurisdiction with no taxation burdens, devoid of fraudulent claims or individuals exploiting welfare systems without genuine need. The prospect of returning to England holds no appeal, given the pervasive corruption, characterized by the affluent evading tax obligations at the expense of the less privileged, perpetuating an unjust system.

The jobs are abusive. Too little staff to run things properly. Companies cut too much corners...

Now this was the news that Sky News Australia should have reported instead about the looks of Prince William in the UK.

Why work hard and be poor, when you can relax and also be poor. Which one would you choose?

Same here in Italy. For me unemployed stats in italy is not truth. Officially is about 7% but in reality is 20%. this is my opinion.

Why work on a minimum wage when you are never going to get a house or nice things.
When you have no dreams what is the point, might as well live off the benefits you can get

The tax system for the average worker here is punitive to the point of work becoming pointless for some.
My uncle, for example has chosen to work a four day week for years as the higher rate of tax makes the extra effort seem pointless.
Then the government wonders why productivity is so
Many approaching retirement just never bothered going back after covid.

Work rules are stacked against workers, nobody wants to work for a corrupt system. They want to hope there is not a world war as a lot of people won't fight for a corrupt system either.

Maybe they should stop importing people to compete for the few jobs they do have.

The question is... is there any jobs available out there? Cuz employers ONLY want people with experience. Minimum 1 year of experience.

Not surprised. Job demands / Salary is not met. Companies asking for way too much but offering way too low salaries. Salaries barely been enough to pay off your expenses/taxes. That's discouraging to work, you better off call it sick or call it depression and start getting those benefits which pays better than an employee would actually pay you lol.

British native and employee here the simply answer is work doesn’t pay.

The average house price is ten times the average salary if your earning below the average or if your single the situation is even worse.

most realise that now basically they will never own a home of therefore they are also putting off having family’s with the current dating culture and effects of feminism many people are even even dating or having relationships at all now.

So what exactly are you going to work for? What are you working towards or for?

Many have simply given up! Why support a failing society and system and make yourself depressed working one of these meaningless corporate jobs for a corporation that doesn’t give a shit about you.

More people now rather have there time to themselfs and spend more of it having lived experiences what ever that may be.

One can say whether they want to, but reality is that there are a lot of them who have a genuine health issue and hence out of work. And no, the benefits are not enough to live happily, one will have to cut all unnecessary costs and live extremely frugally just to survive on Bens

How the number of people out out work being the highest since 2011 and unemployment being at 4.2% being seen as a success is crazy.
