Herbal Academy herbalists Sarah Baldwin and Heather Irvine take on a number of common herbal questions we see float through our inbox on a regular basis!

Office hours are typically a time to connect with your teachers, to get clarification on questions you may have, and to find out what you can expect to learn in class!

In our very own version of Herbalist Office Hours, hear from two of our staff herbalists as they share their insights and experience on a handful of topics, including herbalist certification, alcohol-based and alcohol-free herbal preparations to know, how to pick the course best suited for you, and much more!

Perfect for those just getting started with herbalism or for those with some experience pondering next steps, this video will shed some light on herbalism FAQs while getting your gears turning about your own path into plant study.

My daughter signed me up for your courses for Christmas and I thought what a fantastic useful gift! This video as the others I've been watching are soooo very helpful and keep me more and more interested. I have found I'm not interested in just one type but all so I'm starting with the intro and working my way up! So grateful for this school online hopefully one day I can get to a point where the old 9-5 can be let go or shortened to part time and this can be more full time. Thank you for all the support you put out here!!!

Can you can vinegars, glycerates, tinctures, and syrups in a pressure canner and store in a cool dark place to keep them longer?

I think one of my questions as a beginner in the intro course would be is there any tools you would suggest having on hand to start with?

Would we be fully prepared to start practicing as a clinical herbalist upon completing the advanced course, and the prior ones of course, aside from the recommended hands on practice with and already established practitioner? I live in a country where there aren't really any herbalists so I worry about that part
