In this video I will take you through the concept of building a solid using cross sections perpendicular to the x-y plane. I will also go through the set up, and computation of three such problems. The first involving square cross sections, the second semi-circle cross sections, and the third equilateral triangle cross sections.

How did you make it so you had the graphing and 3 d screen side by side?

Hi, thank you so much for various examples with detailed examples. The 3D modelling using Geogebra was so helpful as well. What a great skill of Geogebra!
I have two things to ask you if you dont’t mind. ;)
1.How did you colour the cross section of semicircle? Im building a model for school project and Mine just look like a shell. Not like volume as yours. Polygon shapes are automatically filled and there is an option for fill in setting but there is none for a circle, semicircle for some reason. :(

2. Could u teach me how to set up a slider for n (numbers of a shape)? I searched internet but I found only one video of using uppersum command.

If you could teach me, or make another youtube video to show how to do it, it will be super helpful for many viewers, dont even need to mention of me!

Or if you too busy to make a video, could you tell me the link that would answer my two questions? Thank you so much!
This cross section integration is really fun to learn :D
