Star Trek: Emissary - Title Sequence (unofficial)

On this anniversary of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's pilot episode "Emissary" we imagine a TV show with the same name and this would be its opening sequence. It depicts past events in Benjamin Sisko's life up until his return from the wormhole, the Bajorans call the 'celestial temple'.

We are David Frank and Christian Lerch and this is a fun side project.
We are Motion Designers, Star Trek Fans and Sci-Fi nerds.

I can see the influences from the Picard intros, but man, you nailed it. I love the Locutus laser blast disabling the Saratoga and causing the baseball to morph into Mars, great imagery.

This is brilliant. Literally felt goosebumps watching. Feels like a bit of Enterprise, Foundation and The Expanse. Excellent job to the creators.

Darn it, now I'm sad that we likely won't get to actually see this show.

I've watched this repeatedly over the last couple days, it's just so incredibly effective at condensing Ben's story down to less than 60 seconds. I especially love how well the sound of the wormhole opening goes with the music. It helps that this track is one of my favorites from the Tenet soundtrack.

Earth where he grew up and trained, to his Luna missions aboard the Daedalus Class trainer, his first ships and his getting the pips in time with the music, the Borg and the Saratoga, Utopia Planetia and the Defiant, Gul Dukat and DS9, his Solar sailer, the prophets and his mom, the Dominion war, and now something new?

Wel... I did not expect to actually be impressed by a fan made title sequence but here I am all impressed! Seriously this is very well conceived. The elements like the person floating outside DS9, the raising of the weapons facing each other in shadow - there are a ton of really really good choices in here it REALLY works.

0:49 This shot is inspired from the proposed season 8 pilot that the OG DS9 writers came up with when reunited for the What We Left Behind documentary, a firefight is about to break out on the promenade deck and suddenly that's when Ben Sisko makes his return. Really cool to see that referenced here!

I just stumbled across this, and if I didn’t know any better I would have thought Paramount was keeping a secret show and this was some sort of leak.

WOW! The production quality of this intro is beyond mind blowing! As well all of the little details that a DS9 fan would pick out. The music is perfect, eerie and mysterious.

Excellent job! Totally knocked this out of the park with a grand slam home run!
