Why does SABC News on Channel 404 translate vernacular languages to English during interviews, but not the other way around—for example, translating English to isiXhosa or isiZulu during the vernacular news bulletins? Is there a reason why viewers who are not fluent in English, particularly the illiterate, are not being fully catered for in the same way?
