Not just the melody but the lyrics compliment each other... Liar is his inner dialogue... "I'm a bad liar" may be to himself as he says aloud to his significant other "I want you to be happier" ....He has some deep love for this person he doesn't want to let go, even if he says he wants them to be happier with someone else

These are literally two songs that tear my soul apart every time I listen to them and now I also know that they make the best mashup I have ever heard in my entire life

This sounded like such a real collaboration song even if it was a mashup. With 3 of some of the best modern artists (in my opinion) in a mashup like this? I actually want to see Imagine Dragons, Bastille, and Marshmellow to do a real collaboration together. I don't care what it is that they do. I would be a Bad Liar if I said that they had to make a new song together or they have to perform this specific version of their two songs. This mashup truly made me feel Happier and I never thought about the fact that while these guys sound amazing on their own, they sound amazing together. One of the best parts about music is sharing the experience too! So it would truly be a great experience to see these 3 modern artists collaborate for real.
