What's a greenhouse it gets all the natural light and you supplement the LEDs don't forget to say that

Those plants are getting 99.9% sun and .01% led. Good investment in lights lol

Hi, I'm just starting to learn about lighting systems and have a couple of questions. I thought LED's were supposed to be only a couple of feet away from plants, and notice your lights look like they are around 10 feet away from the lettuces. Do they perform better at that distance? And what do they do for the plants that the sunlight coming in from the greenhouse walls and ceiling isn't doing? Thank you very much.

The lights seem to a be a long way from the plants. Do you consider the inverse square law?

why do use growlights when your plants are exposed to the sun?

Why still the blue and red LEDs? Daylight LED's have a much higer par per watt output often even if you only count the 400-450 and 600-650 nm range. Besides plants DO use green light, it might only have 70% of the photosynthetic efficiency but if it represents a large enough portion of the light emitted, like with sunlight or daylight LEDs, it's still worthwile. Even if you combine say a 5000k with monochrome red, why wouln't you just pick a lower kelvin?

It looks as if the lights are way to far from the plants. Does any photon reach the canopy over this distance? 5 Meter or more?

DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY HE WANTED TO USE LED LIGHT SINCE HE IS NOT DOING VERTICAL FARMING, SOME MORE, RELATIVE TO THE SPACE, THE LED LIGHTS THERE ARE DEFINITELY TOO LESS, I DON'T THINK THE LED LIGHT PLAY ANY ROLE IN THE GROWING OF HIS VEGE.

Is there anything that can be used in the home for sale. Almost like the Philips Hue but with grow lights?

Placebo effect. Those LED lights have no chance of distributing their photons to any of those plants in any meaningful way. Trust me I actually useThe required spectrometer as well a par meterAnd even tighter stacked LEDs from nowadays need to be less than 36 inches away from the top of the crop
