Really helpful and much appreciated. One other suggestion that is so important, particularly now. Have someone, a good friend maybe, who you can talk to in the good and bad times. Maybe someone who has been through the same and understands the problems, stresses and issues.

Just a little something, I found it very useful to get in touch with people who went through the same processes about completing a doctorate and try to learn something from their lived experiences; sometimes bad experiences for them but good to bear in mind for those who should avoid those mistakes. Thank you Dr. Kriukow for these great tips. I just completed my first semester of the 3 year program. I am a master prepared nurse and getting my PhD in nursing research. Thus far, I have been able to keep up with assignments, etc. If I continue to keep up with school deadlines assignments, what is another area that I could possibly stay behind? Would it be at the end of the three year program where I have to prepare for dissertation? Thank you.
