Beautiful Ancient Ramp at the City or Troy | Türkiye 🇹🇷 Turkey

This is a clip from my episode at the Ancient City of Troy. This ramp was so well maintained or reconstructed. I wish they had a board up to show how much of it was reconstructed vs just uncovered. Watch the full video on my channel.

Our final ancient city of the trip is the famous Troy (aka Ilion). Made famous for the story of the large (likely completely fake) battle that happened here. Though there was likely battles/wars fought here considering that it is a fortified city. The famous "Trojan Horse" is likely a complete myth. Leading up to our stop here I really wasn't expecting there to be much left of this city. Though it honestly is one of the least impressive ancient cities we saw on this trip. It is still very much worth the stop. The Troy Museum also was not one of my favorites we saw, and was definitely more of a "class trip" museum. But worth stopping by for an hour or so if going to Troy. After that we continued north to Istanbul where we would be spending the next 4 nights.

This trip was a few months before the horrible earthquake that just hit Turkey. My heart breaks for all the people there as we stayed in several of the worst hit cities and it is so upsetting to see the destruction.
