Fanboy alert. Not at all sponsored or affiliated. Just some REALLY good reasons I went with all Garmin integrated avionics in my experimental bushplane. I hope you consider wiring your harness yourself! I've been a fighter pilot and airline pilot my whole career so with a little self-study, I was able to do it successfully.

Your enthusiasm is infectious. Nothing wrong with cheering for a favorite team. Imagine doing all that work and having regrets. That would be very ungroovy.

Wow - as good as it gets! You're going to experience panel envy every time another builder sees this.

Holy smokes, I just found your cannel and I have binged all the content in about 2 days. Wow I really like the way you are approaching the process truly amazing. Like being a former f16 pilot and being humble about your flying experience and learning something new what a great lesson for all pilots to always be learning and even though you are great at one type of flying does not mean you are great at all types of flying. Keep up the good work I really like the direction the channel is going.

Between watching you and other plane builders, I would go Garmin all the way because of the technology that you talked about and the roads they are paving for the future of aviation panels and other avionic equipment.. I just have to say, I might be a tad jealous of how stellar your project is turning out!! Great Job Steve!!! I can’t wait to see your plane in the air!! Keep up the great work!!!

I have all garmin avionics in my 182tc and every time I use it, it's like opening a jewelry box full of diamonds. ❤

Garmin is quite a distance ahead of the competition. It's fairly expensive, but not enough to forgo the awesome features.

1000% agree with you. My turbo glasair rg also has 750xi costing $70k plus installation.

I know that i want a glass cockpit if it’s possible when i get a bush plane. However i find myself looking at these set ups wondering how long it’s going to take me to familiarize myself with all of those systems that i know little to nothing about.

Question #1: How much did *ALL* your avionics cost?
Question #2: Did you compare the price for an equivalent system by Dynon or other manufacturer? If so, how much price difference?
