SOLIDWORKS Intersect Tool enables you to perform complex operations quickly. This nimble tool allows you to combine surfaces, planes and solid bodies in practically any way you desire. There’s no longer a need for multiple cut, trim and fill features. In other words, you can turn a set of surfaces into a solid without having to trim. Or, if desired you can easily add to an existing solid with an intersecting surface.

If you’re asking yourself whether you should be using the Intersect Tool or the Combine Tool in SOLIDWORKS, this video is for you! Join TriMech Application Engineer, Steve Schaeffer, as he attempts to modify the geometry of a body utilizing the Combine Tool but quickly runs into limitations. Steve will switch gears and demonstrate how the powerful Intersect Tool can get the job done.
