I am using AHK.v2.0 which slightly different than v1

Tip: when you type your shortcut key, then you have to press Enter or Space Key to Run the AHK script.
If you want to trigger the script when you press ( and script return for u () cursor between than

$(::SendInput "(){Left}"

Remember: $ sign prevent script to run from multiple times
The above script is for version 2.0

I have the paths specified properly and when I step through the code the variables are assigned correctly, but I get a Path/File access error when I save a new or modified script at this statement

Open AHKScriptPath For Input As #1

If you want to run your script without giving space or tab or enter after shortcut key then

:*:your_shortcut_Key::Your script

This will immediately run the script when ever user type their short keys
