EPS Motor Test Electric Power steering Motor

Change car battry when old it cannot provide enough power this has fixed other cars, check main bar fuse bolted in fusebox under hood has 10 fuses inside 1 fuse blows this is to steering motor. Disconnect battry overnight. Check codes with scanner. Check fuses inside car 🚗 under dashboard. Last fix change steering columb, change rack. Columb has torque sensor . And motor, some models have motor on rack. Change battry to new 😊

great way to ruin the conductivity of your connector. try using the other end of the wires to connect to the battery next time.

I have a 2012 Audi A6. Can I use the same method to check the power steering?

I have ford everest abiente 2016, when i driving, the steering suddenly stock. When this happen i just stop the car, turn off the ignition, take off the key and it will okay again. I talked this incident to the ford mechanic(Casa), but there advice me to replace the whole EPS, which is too expensive for me. Local mechanic can't fix it either. Any suggestion.

Can yoi plz reply if possible my car steering suddenly gets very smooth like motor giving excessive power so now i feel very risky during drive even dieper is fully tight what will the reason can u suggest?

This test is for a single phase motor type (i.e. 2 thick wires - positive and negative).

For 3 phase motor type (i.e. 3 thick wires - u, v, w), the testing method is different.
