Newcastle have one of the best midfields in Europe. Tonali, Bruno G, Joelinton is absolutely sensational. They have also been one of the highest scorers in the league 2 years in a row, anybody struggles who goes to St James park, literally any team that goes there ends up struggling, now and then you get the odd freak result but normally it’s a Newcastle win. They are a total force when at their best.

As a City fan, Rodri IS the story. He's been the best player in the world for two years. He's the most critical player in the most important position on the best team in the world -- with the least cover in that position because for years it's obvious how absurd trying to slot someone in as cover would be.

Pep is only half the problem. The other half of the problem is City no longer have the team to outclass the other teams. Some of their playes are past their prime. City bosses slept during the transfer window without buying a centre forward and a midfielder. Pep keeps Foden, Savinho and Nunes on the bench and does not substitute players quickly in the game. If Haaland also gets injured, City will not finish even in top four.
