I use to work in a nursing home and we used shaving cream to wash the people that would have a smell from some of their meds( chemo etc). Regular soap wouldn't cut it, but shaving cream cut the smell in no time.

I love the beach towel hack and the grape hack. I'm almost 76 and could have used these for many years. Better late than never!

The easiest way is to when u take your sheets off to wash them, just put them back on when dried. No folding

Don't just throw away those chicken bones! Place them into a crock pot with some water, dry bay leaves, peppercorns, salt & a cut up onion - cook for about 4 hrs on high or on low overnight -- makes the best chicken stock for soups or gravy!

You missed the best part about buying jeans from the men's section, and that's the fact that they're hoarding all the pocket space over there. 😂

I love your hacks! As far as putting sheets and towels on a carpet, if you wear your shoes in the house, there is ecoli and chemicals on your shoes. I worked in the hospital and never wore my shoes in the house. I would leave the soles in the sun. Some nurses wiped their shoes down with alcohol before they left the hospital.

I’ve folded my fitted sheets this way for decades. Then I broke my shoulder & had to get a replacement. I could still fold my fitted sheets, though it was a challenge. Then we changed from a queen size bed to a king size. I’m 5’1”. Between my height, shoulder & king size sheets, I gave up! 😂 Now I just take the sheets off, wash them, & put them back on. No folding required! 😂😂😂

I like to simmer the leftover chicken bones (leaving a little meat on them), add mixed vegetables, diced potato, etc., add spices depending on my mood. Makes a great soup.

You folded that fitted sheet the hardest way possible.. There is a way to fold it in less than half that time, and so much easier.. Lay it out, fold all the side in about one foot and make a perfect square, then fold it the way you fold the flat one.. Put it all in one of the pillowcases.. Easy peasy lemon squeezy

My husband worked in a job where we got transferred all the time in all sorts of cities. And I found shaving cream for greasy cabinets a great time saver.

With the zip top bag, roll the zip part outside the bag. It holds it open and you don't get crud in the zipper!

I couldn't help thinking when you were doing the fitted sheet tutorial how we former "domestic goddesses" are finding ourselves on the scrap heap of life after devoting the majority of our selves to endless tasks such as this, that our families took for granted and minute by minute, hour by hour month by month year by year. We are unsung heros with low ball social security. The kids endlessly needing you now, who are scuffing the walls, may be invisible tomorrow. So my suggestion as a senior lady is this, begin to delegate as early as possible. Take a weekend vacation by yourself or with girlfriends, at least 2 to 4 long weekends per year, without kids or husbands. Every now and again stop the cleaning and pickup the art supplies. Otherwise you'll find yourself amongst the forgotten, who are trying to remember who they are/were/are. It doesn't matter that I got folding fitted sheets to a ninja like reflex. No one appreciates my skill.

All great ideas. For your child that loves grapes (Like I Do) have you tried freezing them. Place the loose grapes in a freezer bag and then move them around so they lay in one layer. This way they won't clump together. Once frozen, pop one in your mouth and the warmth will soften the grape. So refreshing & I swear they taste even sweeter.

I “fold” all the sheets by shoving them all in one of the pillow cases. I figure I saved years in my life.
