Hi, how nice to see that there are still people liking our music! By the way, I am (was) the singer of the Sanity Commission. Man, this is more than 40 years ago. I wasn't aware that our music was on youtube. Thank you @jollybrool. Also thanks to @sunnysideggo2821 for your email. You deciphered most of the lyrics. I went through my archive of old papers, but I only found some love letters and diaries (pieces of which sometimes ended up in song lyrics). The lyrics of this specific song were provided by our guitarist (Johan Gooren). I will send a the lyrics in a separate post.

We were a band located in Venray, a place in the south of The Netherlands. I think we got the name for the band from the movie "The Pink Panther Strikes Again". Were we influenced by the New Wave bands at the time? Sure thing. Were we ahead of our time? Nope. Did we have a lot of fun making music? Hell yeah.

The studio at which we recorded this demo tape, uploaded this tape on their website (Limbabwe records). Unfortunately this specific song isn't in the zip-file you can download there. On their website you can also see the complete cover/sleeve/inlay (not sure how to call it). That was also created with the means of those days. We didn't have computers then. But, I had a pencil and rub-on letters, and I had access to a dark room/screen printing facility.

Just noting, as I think someone should, that the opening lyrics when I first listened to this last year, were "Does it matter, losing your life..." and that it looks like the FCC has replaced that with a dub saying "Does it matter losing your legs". Just letting you know the original unadulterated song I heard first was the better copy
