While I was on hiatus from filming, I spent a lot of time grinding through many digital games seeking cool moments like this to highlight. Can you find the solution to solve this puzzle and win the game?

Hey, great to see how you closed this out. I was the Vagabond in this game! I jumped out to a big start but then could not close it out. Great to have played with you and seen it from your perspective in this video.

I found a different way but it was definitely riskier. You are at 25 points after the boot craft, you march a bunch of cats into the bottom middle fox clearing (1/4 actions), then battle and hope to score 2 or more on the die to destroy the garden (2/4 actions, +1 point, 26 points), then over on the far right in the mouse clearing, battle to destroy the garden, hoping no ambush is present (3/4 actions, +1 point, 27 points), and then finally, back down in that fox clearing, build a sawmill or recruiter (4/4 actions, +3 points, 30 points).

This should work more times than not, but rolling no higher than 2 on the battle die or if the lizards had the mouse or bird ambush, it would bring your chances to a screeching halt.

Going to try and solve before watching your solution:























I’d buy the Boot and craft it for 1 point, March into the bottom left clearing so that I rule it, Build a Sawmill for 3 points using 3 wood, Overwork a Mouse Sawmill, then spend the Bird card to Build a Workshop for 2 points using 2 wood. That should be 30!

Interesting that in this case, Digital gives you a bit of an advantage using Field Hospitals at the start of your turn, since the stage is already set for your endgame and you know for a fact you can’t use Field Hospitals if you want to make a purchase and you also know that card is the only one you can Overwork with. Fun puzzle!

I am going to provide my own experience here. Sometimes, using a bird ambush to defend your sawmill might not be necessary as a cat in an end game situation. Saving that bird card for an extra action might be the key towards the victory. I learned that the hard way by losing a game that I should have win.

No FH. Buy & Craft Boot +1VP. Battle defenceless garden +1VP. March into double open building slot and 1 Lizard + garden. Build Sawmill/Recruiter +3VP. Battle Lizard + garden need at least 2+ for higher die +1VP.
