Loom Knit Diamond Knot Stitch

Hi Loomers!
I have had this idea for a stitch in my head for a while and finally decided to bring it to life.
I was always looking for a nice open lacy stitch to make a light spring / summer item, whether a scarf, shawl, blanket, etc and here it is.
If you do use this stitch, please share with me what you make with it, I would love to see others work.

Happy Looming Friends!

Fantastic pattern and, since you explained it so well, is is easy to understand. I always watch a video, then follow along and write down your instructions so I don't have to keep referring to the video. I agree, this is not like the move crochet stitch. To me, this is prettier and not as bumpy. Thanks loads for sharing.

Thanks for sharing; reminds me of the Diamond Lace. I have lots of fingering stash I can use; great summer shawl.

Thanks so much for making a video for all of us. You explained everything very well, and I loved your tip on using the 2 pick tools. Also....I loved the sounds in the background 💖

Thank you for sharing this beautiful stitch! Very easy and elegant looking. Since I'm in Michigan, I think I will use it for 8" or 9" on each end of the scarf and make the rest of the scarf a little warmer in the middle.

Great stitch! I was looking for a pattern, something warm, but yet elegant, wanted to make a shawl for my mother. I think I've found it. Thanks a lot! Going to try it out soon.
Oh, and I think I 've got a handy idea for tracking the direction of the YOs. A stitch marker (or a rubber band) should do the trick. Marker's on the right means we're moving loops from left to right, once we've slipped the right edge - we're moving the marker to the left. Sounds good to me, and no extra writing involved. :)

Lovely stitch! However, I'm a bit confused with this video. You say a slip stitch is coming around the back of the peg wrapping it and knitting off? I have always done a slip stitch by not working the first peg at all.

LOVE your knitting patterns. I am looking for a pattern for a fedora, do you know of one? Loom knitted. Thanks

Took me awhile to catch on, but I finally realized you were always purling when going clockwise and e-wrap counter clockwise. So, for all you lefty's out there you might want to reverse this and purl counter clockwise (going right) and e-wrap clockwise (going left). Being a lefty, I can't for the life of me purl when I'm going left.
