If Cam is no longer a starter in the NFL, that's actually pretty depressing. He's better than Carr and Mariota, better than Trubiski, better than Minshew, better than Haskins and Allen, better than Stidham and Hoyer, and better than Tyrod. Big Ben and Rivers are basically Frankenstein's at this point. Cam probably has a good 4 years in him at least, and you know he's gonna come back with a vengeance if he's signed.

As a long time Chargers fan, I wasn’t too big on Cam going to the Chargers. But the way I look at it now that Mariota and Teddy Bridgewater are signed, and Tyrod is going to be our starter for now then we might as well just sign Cam to a short term contract to see how he does and draft a QB to sit for a year or 2. Cam is a better Tyrod and has little more in his arsenal when healthy. It makes more sense I think
