"I'm pretty lonely actually, but it's OK". I can relate to that, and I love being on my own too. It's a strange thing.

Such a beautiful person, pleased she survived the 60’s and she still looks good.

So mademoiselle Marianne lives in Paris, I recognize the Montparnasse tower when she opens the window. I hope she enjoys her life there.
"As she rode along through Paris with the warm wind in her hair ... "

In my early 20's a local bus driver ( Southern England ) would stop his double decker bus when he saw me and say,
" Would you like a lift Marianne ? "
He wouldn't let me pay which earned me lots of scowls. One day I asked him why he called me Marianne and he said it was because I looked like Marianne Faithfull . This was early 80's before the internet so it was years before I found out who she was ..and considered it a compliment. Love her apartment and " stuff. "

Since she passed today, I’m going thru all her interviews, & I love that she made me laugh w/ that picture in her loo saying “best place for jt!thank you for making me laugh on a dark day ❤❤❤

This is just amazing. Nothing beyond a normal person in a normal house. For someone whose life has been very full of extremes and celebrity she is upfront, honest and content to be lonely and not nostalgic. Impressive woman.

First and foremost I LOVE MARIANNE FAITHFULL. I've always loved her raspy voice, and to see this gorgeous Paris apartment of hers is really a treat. I would love to be her friend and neighbor. Love you Marianne.

😇 I have been a fan of Marianne Faithful since her first song. I still have her first two albums and then purchased them on CDs. I kept a huge scrapbook of her. When I was a teenager I wore my hair like her, tried to find dresses that were just like hers and the shoes. I’ve read her book and yes I am faithful forever to Marianne Faithful. Her father had a very interesting background too. I still remember the words to As Tears Go By and This Little Bird. Her book is very informative. I hear they’re going to make a movie about her life. The girl who portrayed Freddie Mercury‘s girlfriend in the movie Bohemian Rhapsody is up for consideration for playing the role of Marianne Faithful. As long as Marianne has a huge say in the production of the movie I will see it. I wish I could meet you.
Faithful Forever 😎

I met Marianne when she and Mick Jagger visited Frank Zappa's log cabin in Laurel Canyon, Hollywood. They sat in the kitchen with Frank and his wife Gail. Mick and Marianne were like a double act - he spoke, she spoke, he spoke, she spoke. By contract, Gail never spoke when Frank entertained. She always sat mute, allowing Frank to hold centre stage. Such a contrast.

I’m struck by the fact that this video was eight years ago at the time I’m writing this comment. I saw her perform live in 2002. She was fit as a fiddle. She opened her set with ‘Falling from Grace’, and strode out onto the stage in a burgundy pantsuit with a white, low-cut ruffled blouse and a stringed set of pearls. She had a tidy layered shag that bounced back into place every time she ran her fingers through her hair.. they let her smoke cigarettes on stage, even though there was no smoking allowed in the building 😂 she was fabulous live. The passage of time is amazing it’s been 23 years since that night and now she’s gone. Like a shooting star. Rest in peace, Marianne.

Three and a half minutes in the company of a remarkable woman and a true survivor. From an admirer of the wonderful music you have given us throughout your career.

Saw Marianne in '84 in New Zealand; newly sober/clean she found The Opera House "too intimate", shy & overwhelmed she got through her performance. Anyone who can survive & thrive after years as a junkie (on a wall) deserves a HUGE medal,
wondrous survivor & artist.
