Thanks for going hands on with our monitor and sharing your thoughts. To add some additional for those interested please see some comparison points for your reference

1.We do offer a similar feature to super resolution in our vivid pixel option and it is customizable

2.Aspect ratio control does allow for different resolutions than you communicated, they are still use defineable so you can actually do for instance
1440P @ 240Hz at 24.5" - this is great option for clarity, sharpness and easier to drive relative to frame rate
So regardless of the preset resolution for the 24.5 and 27" sizes you can still define custom resolutions in Windows.

3. We offer a threaded mount on the rear base stand ( you can put items like a light, mic or camera )

4. Our USB-C spec is higher with a max of 95W, but there is a reduction to 65W depending on your luminance profile.

5. We offer optical output

6. We have confirmed G-SYNC Compatbility which means we have vetted formally to ensure superior interoprability/compatibility, GB is not formally G-SYNC compatible verified

7. Currently we offer Dolby Vision support and the GB does not

8. Like the Samsung we do offer PiP/PbP functionality and you can easily control the OSD in Windows through a app vs having to use an app.

9. While limited in it's total value the inclusion of BFI does allow for those who can only target 120Hz FDS the benefit of motion clarity equivalent roughly of 204Hz, this is great for older titles, consoles.

*We have shown best in class firmware support for our OLED compared to AW, GB, and MSI being responsive to feedback and even ensuring subtle items in OSD like disabling DSC, unclamped controls and much more even enhancing our KVM functionality ( which we are not do with ) all through FW releases.

*Interesting feedback on you noting HDR performance is underwhelming with the brightness performance and contrast of this OLED panel HDR is can truly be realized but you may have varying experience relative to HDR gaming on PC depending on the games you play their tonemapping.

We have also found in our internal testing our HDR performance is notably superior especially in regards luminace performance. We have also found our out of the box greyscale, sRGB mode and color temp performance is superior but this can be improve should you have the equipment to manually calibrate.

Crtically depending on your mode certain modes are favorable for HDR as they can enable higher luminance

To be transparent there are items GB does offer we do not on our display
1. Speakers, we have comprehensive connections and feel most users will utilize headphones (wired or wireless, TWS/IEM or speakers )
2. 4 Way ergonomic adjustment vs 3 way ( we omit rotate )
3. DP 2.1, this is not a useable specification currently and also cannot be formally validated so it is problematic at this time to ensure interopability/compatbility for the future.

With this noted, best of luck with the monitor and hope everything goes well with the new monitor.

We will also share your feedback with our PM team regarding the VESA mounting criticism.

just returned my PG32UCDP which is 4k 240hz 1080p 480hz dual mode but i hated the matte display and got a PG32UCDM and i absolutely love it, i used 24 and 27 inch monitors for so long cuz i play competitive games but when i switched to a 32 inch monitor i loved it instantly and the 4k 240hz is INCREDIBLE, coming from even 1440p, big big jump.

Just got my Fo32u2, glad to say the issues you faced have been fixed with their latest patch. They now have a HDR 1000 nits which fixed the previous EDID issue. After calibrating the settings to my liking, it looks amazing! Ain't going back to LEDs

Are you worried about burn in using an OLED as your second screen? I use a PG32UCDM as my gaming monitor but my secondary screens are all IPS because I leave a lot of static elements on them like broswers and discord. Maybe I baby my OLED screen too much?

I returned my refurbished MSI MPG 271QRX due to grain issues, a dead pixel, and being blurry.

Despite your review I took the chance on the AW2725DF and thankfully didn't have any eye strain issues. I'm hoping they release a firmware update to fix the creator mode gamma (found a workaround using native with a program called novideo_srgb to clamp gamma) but overall it's an enjoyable experience and the 360hz is insane, Its like I can see peoples thoughts in games lol.

The whole experience also educated me on HDR (overrated imo) and different color spaces which I found I enjoy sRGB and DCI-P3 if I want more vibrancy.

Never thought I'd see Gojo and Shane Gillis on the same screen but I'm here for it!

The different size simulation surely doesn't keep the resolution, does it? It can't physically remain in 4K resolution, so it doesn't look like native 4K at 24/27 inches. Correct me if I'm wrong

you have to see it with your own eyes. I was also unsettled by YouTube. The prejudice comes from the first oled monitor LG 27GR95QE. It's really milky matte. This one from Samsung is more of a semi-matte finish. I bought it because of an unbeatable offer and I don't see anything oily at all. I had the Asus before. in some moments, I saw my glasses reflected. so I sent it back. you really have to test it yourself

I have been researching the fo32 a lot and you’re the first to being up the setting changes on application and mode change. Very interesting hopefully just a firmware update in the future fixes that. I am leaning towards the fo32

I recently returned the Samsung G80SD, overall I really liked it but my main complaint was SDR mode had some black crush going on and the silver bezel was distracting in games with a lot of dark scenes. It does seem to be the cheapest option at the moment since with an EDU discount + cash back it came out to around $800.

I haven't tried any of the glossy options but my main choice right now is the Gigabyte as it's cheaper than the ASUS by a decent chunk and checks off all the boxes I'm looking for. I saw Gigabyte has released two firmware updates since this video was released so that's a good sign they haven't abandoned this monitor. so I'll probably give the GB a shot.

Does anyone know when the technology for 4K 240hz in a 27 inch monitor will be out ???

Glad you pointed out white balance issues in FO32U2P which made me get rid of that model and then what about the G80SD panel as i could see in the video it also looks more yellow especially in white background images and skies. So should we come to the conclusion that among these panels only asus has great white balance and color accuracy? Im stuck between G80SD & ASUS which one would you suggest for a great picture out of the box especially the white balance.

Also the Gigabyte offers a 3 year warranty which is pretty much a big deal. 2.1 DP is what did it for me. I just ordered one today, expect it by tomorrow. I bought the Gigabyte before i saw this review, because i trust my own judgement and i am not wrong on that, after seeing your review i only felt relief as i completely checked every box in my mind that confirmed my choice was correct. I'm coming from an Acer Predator 27inch IPS panel and 1080TI and this change gonna be huge for me. I am playing only FPS at competitive levels and will want to go into more professional streaming so I think this future proofing of 2.1 DP will be the next step in gaming. We're the smart ones that take to it first. First adopters.

Yooo Fresh getting into monitor reviews? Let's go. Really hoping to see some really good OLED 27" 4k monitors in the future. I can't fit a 32" on my small desk since I like to have a dual monitor setup on monitor arms in a somewhat restricted room space.
