Tim Cook said that Airpods Pro were a complementary product - not that people should buy both, but just because you own the old-style Airpods doesn't necessarily mean you shouldn't buy the Airpods Pro if you want noise cancellation <duh>.

Obv0iously, if all you have Airpods Pro there's really no advantage to buying the old style Airpods, so the whole crazy thesis of your argument is sorta pointless.

The original Airpods were pretty revolutionary for their time, and probably spawned the demand which led to the creation of the others in your video since they became the best selling headphone in the world. Prior to the original Airpods, there were only a sparse few contenders, and they were both more expensive and way less convenient and capable. Airpods 2 just added a Qi wireless charging case, and were obviously just a stopgap on the road to the Airpods Pro which of course were just released.

Tim Cook's statement was to try to justify screwing over people like myself that bought the AirPods 2 earlier this year that would have bought these, it was really crappy on Apple's part to do that. The should really take the AirPods 2 back on trade for say at least $100 or something because it's pretty hard to sell something like that on the secondary market, it's not something like a phone or computer.

I nearly lost my friend's airpod 2 when was chasing the train. Eventually had to take the later train cause have to search for the airpod that drop out from my ear.

Glad you said it. I am an Apple user with 3 laptops, 2 desktops and 5 iPhones (I have 5 kids.) >$9, 000 of Apple products in the house, but I just couldn't support the Airpods at this time. I was hoping for a little more at a $250 price tag.

Here’s the thing. AirPods Pro crackle and cut out like crazy to the point i returned them, and everyone’s having this issue i heard someone’s on their 3rd pair and is still having it. That’s because apple just wasn’t ready for the AirPods Pro or something. It’s just the point the airpods 2 has absolutely no issues at all. Plus theirs a update coming where it sounds as if the sound is coming all around you like a movie theater. So if your complaining about sound quality that amazing updates coming. :) The AirPods Pro sound a lot more deeper in base (not as loud though) but that destroys me liking them if they are cutting out and having some sort of crackling sound. Hope this might have helps you 2.

I love your videos!! hey Mike can you recommend the best true wireless earbuds but with out eartips, earbuds that don't rest in the ear canal, like the airpods, I would get the airpods but the in-ear detection doesn't work with Android. is there any style-like airpods but for Android?? please help us out 🙏

Hey Mike. I just checked out your video for the Jabra Elite 65t’s and in terms of an earpod similar to the pros those are a better choice, especially seeing Best Buy put them on sale for $109.99 probably because of the of the newer 75t’s. The minuses you mentioned sound easy to overlook for the price, especially seeing l’d only use them for listening to music.

Great video but l feel differently. I actually bought the Airpods 2 without the case at Best Buy for $144 and love them. I tried the Airpods Pros at the Apple store and pass. Why? They fit my ears and never ever fall out, even during a yoga headstand. I actually prefer hearing everything around me in some circumstances because, although l have a nice pair of Klipsch earbuds, with a wire) that sound excellent, l often don’t want to feel disconnected from the world around me. I brought the Jaybird Vistas and had terrible connection problems within days, so there’s something hugely to be said for Airpods seamless pairing. I find the sound quality of the Airpods can be improved significantly by saving my CD’s (yep, still buy them) in the AIFF setting where no sound quality is lost. All the extra things on the Pro’s l don’t actually need. And ... I actually really like the way they look.

I personally disagree with you. The AirPods 2nd gen. are currently the only actual true wireless earbuds, as in earbuds that rest on the concha of the ears and don't have silicone tips that drill into your ears. I know many people that have problems with wearing these cuz they fatigue their ears in the long term unlike 1st and 2nd gen. AirPods. I'm sad to hear most reviewers such as you don't address and recognize that fit and comfort is subjective, and that AirPods 2nd gen. are the only true wireless earbuds that actually are earbuds resting on the side of the ears instead of drilling and hurting many others' ears.

I carry my AirPods 2 just to have something convenient to pop in my ear in a pinch but I use Jabra 65t Active for running and Titanium Aftershocks for at home. Like you I find I can’t depend on AirPods 2 to stay in my ears thus the limited usage. AirPods Pro look interesting though

Wish they made another AirPods Pro version with the water resistance but without the rubber tips digging into your ear. AirPods fit perfectly in my ear without falling out with intense use. The rubber tip thing is uncomfortable to me and I’ve been seeing many people saying that they actually are worst at staying in ear.
