When you take off that front panel, if you look around the interior perimeter of the plastic and the edge of the foam, there are little metal tabs for the front mesh to attach to the plastic. You can bend those out and take off the front mesh and foam filter.  I removed the foam and got drastically improved airflow and temps.  I now no longer need to remove the mesh to clean it, as the foam is not in the way.

This video is making me wanna build my own PC. But I been thinking about just reusing this old Windows XP EMachines case then completely gutting it and putting in all new hardware.
