German History Portrayed by Minecraft

Hey bruvs, in this video you'll learn about the history of Germany, portrayed by Minecraft! From the fall of the Western Roman Empire to the Germanic tribes, to the unification of Germany, to the World Wars, up to today, this video covers many of the major events in German history. Also, this video took a long time to make, research, building the scenes (I built that entire Reichstag from scratch just for this video), and editing. Juggling this as well as college took a lot of work, so I hope you enjoy :)

I hope you bruvs enjoy this video, it took me a while to make. I built that entire Reichstag scene as well as all of the others, which along with research, recording, and editing, took a while. Please remember to like the video, and subscribe if you have not already, as it is free for you guys but helps me out immensely.

You can join my channel for a small monthly price if you are crazy enough to support me further :)

Edit: Also in the Hyperinflation clip I made a typo, it should say "Weimar" not "eimar"
The Weimar Republic was the democratic government installed in Germany after World War I.

Like the previous videos in the series, I really enjoyed this one! Germany has quite an interesting history besides being widely known for just the World Wars (1914-1918, 1939-1945).

At 11:42, I see what you did. The anvil requires iron, and the wall + the rest of Europe's separation from the west was called the 'Iron Curtain'. It's just the little details like these and many more that can be picked out of the video that makes this channel just so great in how creative you are Danymok. Well done!

Gutenberg Bible

In the beginning, there were no blocks. Then Notch said "Let there be Light!"

And then he placed down a torch (floating because he is all powerful)

From nothing he then formed all the blocks.

He created two players, Steve and Herobrine (don't ask me how they will repopulate).

Herobrine then became evil...

And the rest of the Minecraft lore...

Not trying to be rude or anything but there’s a lot of important stuff missing. No worries though, that video was brilliant.

1831: The Hambacher Fest, a festival which sparked German nationalism and started the movement for a united Germany
1848: The first German parliament meets in Frankfurt
1848/1849: The German revolution breaks out. Prussia‘s military brutally crushes the liberal protesters, any hopes for a united Germany are gone for the next 20 years.
1888: The Berlin conference is called in. Germany makes a second attempt at colonisation.
1890-1914: Anglo-Germany Naval arms race. Britain and Germany compete to built a bigger Navy which contributes to the start of WW1.
1919: Spartacus uprising and Kapp Putsch. Germany nearly becomes communist and then nearly monarchist, both uprisings are suppressed.
1929: The Wall Street stockmarket crash of 1929
1932: The Prussian Punch. Prussia‘s government is dissolved and under direct control of the state. The Prussian state police gets under control of Herrmann Göring who makes the brownshirts part of the police.
1933: Reichstag fire. The German parliament gets set ablaze by Dutch Communists. The next day, President Hindenburg passes the enabling act, giving Hitler almost full control.
1938: Annexation of Austria and Czechoslovakia.
1953: Anti-Socialist protests are brutally repressed in East-Germany.
1955: West-Germany wins almost full independence after joining NATO.
1955: The new German army, the Bundeswehr, is founded. Shortly afterwards, the East-German NVA is founded.
1963: The Élysée Treaty is signed, ending the centuries of Franco-German rivalry.
1968: Communist protests break out all across West-Germany, protesting against the Vietnam war and Korean war. Through it, the communist terror organisation RAF (Rote Armee Fraktion) is formed which went on to assassinate politicians and 200 civilians.
1972-1977 “The terror decade”: The Munich olympic games come to a grinding halt as Palestinian terrorists kill the Israeli Olympic team, special forces of the BGS are unable to stop them.
1977 “The German Autumn”:
The RAF grows increasingly violent, Kidnapping and Killing politician Hans Martin Schleyer. A Palestinian terror organisation hijacks a Lufthansa 737, nicknamed “Landshut”. All souls onboard (except for the captain) made it out safely with special forces of the BGS, the GSG9, killing or capturing the terrorists. The freeing of the Landshut would go down as one of the most professional acts against terrorism in human history.
1989: The so called “Monday demonstrations” start to pop up in every major East-German city. Leipzig, Dresden, Cottbus, Magdeburg, Schwerin, Rostock and East-Berlin were all flooded with protesters. Honecker and was voted out of power and soon fled to Russia, later to Chile. After that, the Berlin walk came down.

One thing I do like is mentioning of the Hanseatic League which I don’t see a lot of at all. Very Nice!

Germany is such a beautiful, hi-tech country. And its leader even has several PhDs, having helped research into vaccines for COVID back before one was invented.
