ABERSOCH TO LLANBEDROG - WALKING THE WALES COAST PATH

Hello everyone and welcome to this video of the walk of Abersoch to Llanbedrog on the Wales Coast Path filmed in September 2024!

At the start at Abersoch you can go around the headland going down the Lon Traeth follow the road's and alleyways and this then sends you down to Lon Pen Cei.

From here you have got really good views then of Mynydd Tir-y-Cwmwd ! After passing Afon Soch and walking for a bit on the A499 the Wales Coast Path turns right into Tywyn-y-Fach a little wooded area before the beach of Abersoch Warren Beach!

I got to admit this was my favourite part of the walk, walking to Llanbedrog the beach at Abersoch Warren is fantastic! I could imagine there would be plenty of Watersports there at the height of the summer!

Halfway down The Warren beach we reach the Warren Beach Bar an outdoor bar perfect for those hot summer days!

On we go keeping a eye for a signpost on the left hand side after the last lodge from the Luxury Site! I have a look back and see Abersoch in the distance!

After The Warren Beach we follow a road for around a mile then the Wales Coast Path goes up a lot of steps up the Mynydd Tir-y-Cwmwd this was a tough part going up the steps but the views at the top make it all worthwhile with breathtaking views out towards Abersoch and St Tudwal's Island!

On towards Llanbedrog we go around the headland of Mynydd Tir-y-Cwmwd this was a big headland untill we reach the Tinman this figure was installed in 2002 and is the most recent of a series that have held vigil high over the Llanbedrog skyline. It replaced a 1980 metal sculpture by Simon van de Put and which, in turn, replaced an original wooden figurehead from a ship, which had been placed there by Cardiff businessman Solomon Andrews, but had then been destroyed by vandals.

The next section of the walk heading into Llanbedrog there is a small really tough section walking down to Llanbedrog the gradient is so steep walking down, once past that section the path flattens out and finish the walk next to Plas Glyn-Y-Weddw!
