I love what Doug Wilson says about the law/gospel distinction; he draws the distinction at the regenerate vs unregenerate heart. Frankly, that makes so much more sense than the “truly reformed” position that many use to anathematize the CREC. Wilson’s sermon titled “cold law, hot gospel” is excellent and covers his view and much of what you guys talked about today.

The "Civil" Law is actually case law. Yahweh is teaching newly freed slaves how they, and us, are to apply the moral Law in everyday life, which includes the personal and the interpersonal, civil realms, all of life.

I struggled with an understanding of the law since being saved. Especially how to treat verses that regulate polygamy vs abolishing it. It took my a long time to come to a more complete understanding of the law and boy do I wish I had seen this video 5 years ago. This is great material!

We do not get to break down God’s Law into 3 categories as if all categories don’t apply to Believers today! Nor do we have the right to declare the “church” is something separate and doesn’t have to heed the Laws of God! Christ only obeyed the moral Law?!! Lord have mercy on these fellas trying to explain something that is way above their heads!!!
The moral law is NOT something separate!!!

Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly. to the tithe pastors and teachers and everyone that telling the church they have to tithe let the fear of God in this verse wake you up what will you say if Jesus asked you on that day why did you tell my sheep to tithe and to tithe ... now lets look what Jesus and the early church preached and what the law of Moses said about tithing 1 Jesus don't tell anyone to tithe money ever in all his sermons and parables he never said to tithe money 2 Jesus never told 1 gentile to tithe... 3 in Matt 23.23 Jesus was not taking to the gentiles pastors why have you lied???? and told many sheep Jesus is telling you to tithe make Jesus a he said they had to keep the rest of the law and what did they tithe, ,mint anise and cumin food spices and the Pharisee got that from Lev 27.30...Jesus never told them why did u not tithe money instead you gave food spices ???? why are you lying ant telling your sheep to tithe on there gross checks were did you get that from Jesus never tells the 12.the 70 to collect tithes or 1 day they will receive tithes ???? are you better then no record that Jesus Paul Peter ever received why should a pastors of today receive them???? in all of the new testament we cant find a single saved gentile ever being told to tithe by anyone ever . we cant find a single saved gentile paying tithes ever..an din Acts 15, 1-32 tells us why many Gentiles were getting saved and trouble makers not sent by the church were telling them they had to get circumcised and keep the law of Moses which the tithe commend was given as we all know Paul argued with them so they when to the church council please read what was said in Acts 15, 1-32 here in .... Acts 15 .24-29 24 Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, [h]saying, “You must be circumcised and keep the law”—to whom we gave no such commandment— 25 it seemed good to us, being assembled with one [i]accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who will also report the same things by word of mouth. 28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: 29 that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual[j] immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.
