Welcome to Georgian Crossroads! I had to do it someday! I made a list. There are FAR MORE than ten cultural differences. but we'll start here with part one of my ten cultural differences between Georgia (not the state) and America. This will be helpful if you are coming from any other country to Georgia OR if you are Georgian (gamarjoba!) traveling to America. I talked so long that I had to split this in two.

ABOUT THE GEORGIAN LANGUAGE (Kartuli)
For more about the language here is a good introduction.

Ryan Nakao's Almost Native is a good introduction to Kartuli:
For basic lessons and beyond start with Ryan's older videos.

And for more serious students try Learn Georgian With Roni

My videos are here to give English speakers some useful, up-to-date information and also to give you clues as to what to do (and avoid) in Tbilisi Georgia.

For more on Georgian music and dance check out The Anadromous Life channel which I created several years ago. You'll see videos of great dancing and singing!

AND SUBSCRIBE TO BOTH NOW!!! It will really help us grow. And share this video.

And you can $upport this channel through PayPal. Thanks!
More coming soon.

My deep apologies for leaving Sopio (Sophio, Sopo, Sophia) off the list of women's names. It was a pure oversight and would be number three probably after Mariam and Nino. Bodishi! I will never hear the end of it!

Thanks for the video. Very good info. I have a question. Did you first visit Georgia or did you just take the leap?

Are you involved in any education/lecturing/speaking engagements in Georgia like you have been on YouTube, and I’m assuming for much of your life?
