Ned Flanders is pretty awesome when we research his story:
1. He appears to be 15-to-20 years younger than his actual age (in one episode he said he was 62 years old)
2. When he lifts up his shirt, he is completely 'jacked' with a six-pack.
3. He is practically fearless (Flanders grabbed a guy's fist while in motion and then brought the guy to his knees in pain!)
4. It's been implied that he is well-endowed.
5. On Halloween, he is actually a werewolf or the devil.
6. When Ned talks to God, God audibly responds!!!
7. And now he has an awesome metal band!!!
No wonder Homer hates him.

I'm so glad these guys are doing well. They were easily the best part of the first concert I ever went to. Some time after their set, some drunk idiot twice my size started pushing me around trying to start a fight. Out of nowhere one of the band members stepped in and totally saved me from getting my ass kicked. I knew they were a good band just listening to them, but after one of them was willing to stick up for me, I wish them nothing but immense success.
