the last bit broke my heart. you are so so wonderful. on your recommendation i have so far read, How to write an autobiographical novel and Lonely City and both of them are my top favs now. lovely recommendations today, noted down so many of them. hoping to read them soon.

A 2021 release i would like you to check out is The Portrait of a Mirror by A. Natasha Joukovsky.

another great intergenerational book (which also coincidentally has the word salt in it) is Salt Houses! About a Palestinian family starting in the 1960s. family secrets, breaking trauma, intergenerational history, all that! great read I recommend, and it makes me want to check out of woman and salt :-)

Loved the video! I got my BF a signed copy of Klara and The Sun from my local indie because he just graduated from the same creative writing course but it means I can't read it until he has so I've shot myself in the foot there haha
