Has to be one of the best shows cinematically out there.

Love this. I too spent some childhood trips wondering what kinds of fish lurked beneath the current of the Falls. I probably won't get a chance to experience this myself but it was great watching it through Dave's 'eyes ' so far o speak.

Oh, you didnt die in front of Spark Steakhouse in NYC back in 85', but actually went to wittnes protection program and relocated in Buffalo NY and started offering fishing trips for price to tourists. Smart move man, very smart. Your practicly too close for your old goombatas to spot you.

People have no idea being that close to the falls and walking on those rocks is insanely dangerous. I live here and people get swept into that river every summer multiple times.

Thank you for the comment about the baitcast/levelwind reel. I see zero point to a centerpin, as the baitcaster will allow you to free spool even easier. Fighting fish seems much easier by finding the right drag setting and thumbing the reel. The only benefit I could see is casting light presentations and less chance of a bird's nest, but I don't know if that is true. Plus, baitcasters appear to be much cheaper. The problem is they don't make many long and limber rods for baitcasters.

I used to go down to this exact spot until about 2012. Walk down before sunrise, walk back up through a mop of tourists looking at you like you have 3 heads.

How do you get approval to fish here? What is the process?

You can fish everywhere else in the lower Niagara. Just as or more dangerous elsewhere down the river. Has to be a tourist thing.

How much line do you put from the T swivel to the weight.? Close to the same 6 feet like the leader?

Do the steelhead still migrate to the base ?

be on the lookout for the two intelligent gentleman who went over the falls in a kayak and the other gentlemen who went over in a jetski for they were never found so who knows you may hook more than steelhead
