Carrier Comfort 92 Furnace Error Code #13 and #33 Limit Circuit

Light blinks[ ooo o o o] through the round window on the furnace cover which translates to error code 33. and means there is a blockage in airflow. Start with your air filter. Take it out. When I did mine, I couldn't even see through it. Pulled it out and works like a charm. Also brush off the front of the burners and the gas outlet ports with a tooth brush while you're in there, Should end up with nice clean blue flames. Now, all I need todo is get a new air filter with less air restriction. A 3M high end air-filter did this to me. Also... To test the thermostat, pull off the thermostats cover plate. Then jump the red wire to the white wire(HEAT). If the furnace goes on and does the same thing, it is not your thermostat so you wont need to waste your money on buying to buy a new based on a hunch. Hope this will help someone. Was going crazy for three days when it was -13 degrees outside. Mmm Mmm Mmm.

This was the exact problem I had with my furnace. It was just the limit switch. Since it is fall, and not very cold yet, I was able to order one online and not have to call a furnace guy. Your video helped me diagnose and fix my furnace myself. Many, many thanks.

I have a Payne brand furnace. It was showing a code 13 because I neglected my filter change and it was really dirty. The limit switch that he showed on this video was slightly different look and location, it was close. However, on the main circuit board in the lower left corner there is a red reset button. Push it to reset the furnace and then you won't need any new parts (if you luck out like I did) thanks for the video! You saved me a costly furnace tech visit!

I was getting 33 / 13 codes and had to call emergency service because the blower keeps running without heat and it is single digit outside dropping to -5 F overnight. Turned out to be the gas valve pushing too much gas and caused the furnace to overheat. The tech adjusted the valve and it's been running fine for the last 24 hours.

I am a bit peeve because I just had the furnace company cleaned and checked up the furnace at the beginning of the season 2 months ago. Either the tech didn't check the gas pressure or the valve is going bad. I will keep an eye on the 4 year old valve or the tech next year when they come out for the annual check up.

how can you tell if this is the problem, how do you see these codes? My ac i not blowing cold air and the filter is not bad, we change it every 3 months, but last time that happened it was the limit switch

Chris, I have a newer 95% carrier and today got the 1–3 followed by continuous 3-3. This was after the furnace would run for a few minutes then the burners would turn off in this code sequence would get thrown. Is it similar to what you had happen?

tried everything and then i found a video that said that your gas might be turned up to high. mark it or remember and try it. took me 3 min max.

Im getting 1 red blink, then a pause, then 3 quick red blinks, so is it code 13 or code 34?
