Dear sister, once you accept Islam and recite the Shahada, you are like a newborn, free from all past sins, as they are entirely erased. Do not be disheartened by the negative remarks of those who are heedless, for they have no authority to claim your sins cannot be forgiven. There is a profound Hadith illustrating this: a man who had killed 99 people asked a scholar if Allah would forgive him, and upon being told “No, ” he killed the scholar, making it 100. He then approached another scholar, who assured him Allah’s forgiveness was possible but instructed him to migrate from his sinful environment and seek repentance. This story emphasizes that Allah’s mercy is boundless for those who sincerely repent and strive to transform their lives, leaving behind the circumstances of their wrongdoing. Trust in His compassion and focus on your spiritual journey with hope and determination.
