Antelope Canyon is a place of magic and wonderment located in Page, Arizona. The narrow walls and winding paths mesmerize visitors as sunlight flickers through the cracks above and dances on the curvy walls. The smooth sandstone provides a canvas for the light to illuminates the vibrant palette of earth tone colors.

This is a treasure of the desert! Unfortunately, to see this unique place requires a steep admission fee and a Navajo guide leading dozens through the cramp space.

In this video I am going to share a secret and alternative way to see Antelope Canyon for free (well, almost free). If you are looking for some amazing things to do in Page Arizona on Lake Powell, this kayaking adventure to Antelope Canyon will definitely fit the bill. This is my experience accessing this incredible natural wonder, I hope you enjoy. Please leave a comment below if you have any questions.

My bro in law found that spot about 15 years ago and I've always wanted to explore it! Word of warning; Be very wary of falling rocks! I have a customer who escaped certain death when a large rock fell and crushed her shoulder and had to be air-lifted to the hospital!

thanks for this video. is there a part of the canyon that the kayak can continue to float under? or is the kayak simply to *reach* the canyon?

Hi, Mike! Thank you for the video. Do you know if we're allowed to bring our own kayak?

So the part with the ladder, that was as far as you could go? What time of year was this? Thanks for the great video!

I wonder if I could paddle there on my paddle board or would it definitely tip over?

We experienced the canyon on kayaks via Antelope Creek. Once the creek ran dry, we hiked for another 45 minutes or so in the blasting, furnace-like heat (July 7, 2024). As luck would have it, a small slab of rock did shear off while we were kayaking in. Fortunately, it wasn't so large as to cause any significant disruption.

Hello! How long took you kayaking from Marina point to the beggining of the hike?

Back in the 80's I used to drive right up, pull over and hike down with virtually no one there.

So is there an "end" to the slot canyon where you can't go any further?

Is it easy to get lost in the canyon? Or is it one way in one way out?

Consonantly surprised by the many Kayak and canoe people without flotation devices attached to themselves ... you know... Life Vests .Cost Free. Ha, ha, ha ... Too stupid true ! Be safe. Have fun !

Can you take a raft with a small troller there?

What a great idea. Definitely worth it to not have to pay those cash hungry Navajo grifters.

I live there. It's an untruth. The lake end is not really great at all, nothing like the pay part. And the part of Powell you have to kayak is the main boat channel, with constant boat wakes, really the most unnaturactive part of the lake to kayak. Do the river instead.
