Banoffee Pies Original series continues with a long overdue welcome to the label for Xades (pronounced shades), the Berlin based Artist, Producer, Vocalist, already known under her DJ moniker MSJY. The Femme Bass Mafia co-founder operating for the last 8 years across Europe, with a previous residency at Amsterdam’s De School Club, and further affiliations with the likes of Dekmantel and OOST. As Jenny’s career and musical output continues to flourish, the Xades project sets the foundations as a space for measured sonic reflection, and acts as a portal to connect to their surroundings under a lens of sensitivity.

Original production “Qlu” gives us a taste of the dynamic, sharp and playful spectrum of sounds that culminate in a uniquely euphoric composition with the perfect touch of dub tinged electronica.

Two remixes take opposing directions, with an intricately chaptered bass weight twist from sound design enthusiast / Body Verse founder Kate Miller, and a hybrid rhythmic club cut from recently affiliated label signing Syz. Love from BPR x
