I'm seeing this guy who's originally from Myanmar, and he's so far out of my league it isn't even funny lol. When we first started seeing each other a few months ago, he mentioned that he's always been worried about losing his culture and language (and not being able to pass it on to future kids) if his future partner wasn't Burmese. He's very much "hinted" a few times that it would mean a lot to him (and to his parents and grandfather) if he had a partner who'd make an effort to learn some Burmese. He left for France today for a study abroad program. When he returns in January, I'm hoping to be able to say some basic phrases. He's going to be so psyched. Wish me luck <3
