Followers of Twitter and other social media hear from engineers and scientists about the launch and mission of the Landsat Data Continuity Mission at Vandenberg AFB in California. LDCM will extend global land observations that are critical in many areas, such as energy and water management, forest monitoring, human and environmental health, urban planning, disaster recovery and agriculture.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson made a comment on The Daily Show that China's air pollution is disrupting the targeting system of his space laser.... Jon also "blew his nose" on a peculiar tissue which looked like that thermal blanket stuff...could countries be using "pollution" to shield themselves from each others satellites? I would also like to be keen to thank those attending your social for their excellent questions; and the scientists for their most excellent responses.
