Class 10th - Areas of similar triangles | Triangles | Tutorials Point

In this video, we are going to learn about the Areas of similar triangles and Theorem 6.6 for two similar triangles. Theorem 6.6 states that – “The ratio of the areas of two similar triangles is equal to the square of ratio of their corresponding sides.”

We know that in two similar triangles the ratio of their corresponding sides is the same. We will also learn about the important relationship between the ratio of areas of similar triangles and the ratio of their corresponding sides.

To prove this theorem, we will use Are of Triangles and AA similarity criteria.
