I defeated Elden Ring 9 times and i can say that this first boss is hard.

Watch out when you best the 2nd phase, he unleashes one last attack as he dies that can one shot you.

If your struggling keep the pressure up on this boss. I finally got him after 5 tries. I had the polearm on and I just stayed up in his face spamming light attacks and while staying ready for a quick deflect. Phase two will only take 2 crits with the polearm and it's over

The first phase would have been a decent first boss but they’ve made him to hard just to push that their game is hard and like dark souls they forced the difficulty and it’s ruined the game for a lot of people

Can’t believe they added a second phase lol boss was just too hard for a starter boss. Luckily he has that broken dragon arm attack you can cherry pick to parry

The dodging backwards not working to well on Series X, He rolled like 200 feet to reach me a few times, just kept reaching lol

If anyone's having trouble with the first phase, I found that the staff you get can keep him pretty close to stun locked with the light light heavy combo.

300 hours of elden ring. beat all bosses within the first 2 days alone. 2 hours on first boss now here lol

I’m not gonna cap, this game is intimidating. It took me under an hour to beat him, but I shouldn’t be facing a relentless boss like this very early in the game.
