It would be interesting to see how much of this is old people coming in vs young people leaving. I live in NYC, and I know a lot of young adults fresh out of college move away from New England states to come work in the city.

Surprised that Pennsylvania isn’t on the list since it has both the first and second best cities for retirement in the country, 1st is Harrisburg and in 2nd is Lancaster.

California has a large retired population, but it's not on this list because it's also appealing to aspiring young people, and also has a very high Hispanic population, most of which are Catholic.

As someone now in my mid-60s, I can assure you there are far fewer old people than there used to be.

Tbis is easier to find out but js looking up how many 55+ commuinties they build in said state. Florida would win that one💀

The oldest US states are Delaware, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Massachusetts, and I believe Georgia.

Yup, as a young Mainer, can you all even IMAGINE how dry the dating scene is for young folks. It's probably just as or twice as bad as what you picture

Maine and lifestyle dont really belong in the same sentence. Its nice but if you can't drive good luck buddy. All the fun jobs usually seasonal anyways.
