Zoom in to the Tarantula Nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud, down to the massive and bright R136 star cluster. The most massive (possibly 2nd most massive) known star R136a1 sits in it's center.

If the Tarantula Nebula (160K ly) were as close to Earth as the Orion Nebula (1.3K ly) is, it would appear so bright as to cast shadows at night.
