I absolutely hate getting shots. I never take the flu shot, but my 10 year tetanus booster is coming right up. I dread it. It always helps me to just look in the opposite direction of where the shot is being given. If I see the needle, I lose my shit. And the nurse typically uses a long 1.5" needle on me because of my higher body weight. Pinches like nobody's business.

Telling her not to think about it and you be fine don’t help because I have an incredibly bad fear of needles and if someone says I will be fine and don’t think about I want to punch them because I know that I will be fine it’s the pain and anxiety for me personally it’s the fear of how big it is and sometimes I’m not allowed a butterfly needle because I get them done at school so they don’t carry them so I freak out and my teacher doesn’t tell me what day it’s on so I can skip but I need the time to breathe because they are really painful so it doesn’t help when people say it’s ok and don’t think about it
