On set with the cast of 'The Conners'

I hate to admit it...But, I actually like the Connors. It's a different show without Roseanne. But just like real life, it's never the same when a family member is gone.

The scene where Dan is in the bedroom somehow reminds me of the All In The Family episode shortly after Edith had died off screen. Roseanne had also died off screen. Both Goodman and Carroll O'Connor are acting icons to me and I was wondering if anyone else noticed the similarities between the two scenes from both classic sitcoms? Thanks for any feedback!

Roseanne’s tweet was not about race. It was political, as Roseanne has mentioned numerous times. She was trying to comment on Iran, which is experiencing chaos in its streets as we speak. Roseanne believes Valerie, as a member of the Obama administration, had a role in the expansion of the Muslim brotherhood in places like Iran. The tweet had NOTHING to do with what the movie is called, and everything to do with what the movie is about. Planet of the Apes, the movie, is about overthrowing political despots (where the Apes rule and humans are their servants and either fight back or escape). And that is what some people of Iran are trying to do to their own government. People need to get past the word “Ape”. That had nothing to do with what Roseanne was trying to say. If the movie was called “waka maka waka” then that’s what she would have said, because what the movie is called was irrelevant to what she was trying to say. Again, Roseanne was comparing what she believes to be Valerie’s actions with the PLOT of the movie, not the name or characters in it.

I don't think many people expected this show to be good. But this is some seriously good writing and these are some seriously good actors!

Out of All the Cast members, it's almost Visual that John Goodman Is the One who Really Does Miss Roseanne. (on another note... Aside from John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf, the Other Cast members Acting is by far Mediocre and Not even needed for the show).

Well I think it’s not the same with out Roseanne on the conners she was the main star and and she is one amazing woman I loved her and still do as is I’m watching old reones of the original Show of Roseanne... so yes I agree they should bring her back .

I love how they got rid of her because she made a funny joke. Conners deserve all the hell that they get. These actors are some of the biggest losers that I've ever seen. What a slap in the face to a great comedian. These people are nothing without her.

I love "The Connors" it's really funny. I'm glad it's been picked up for a second season. And to all you people bit**ing about racist Roseanne. Why don't you send her messages telling her to keep her racist opinions to herself or in private. Not tweet them to millions of people. She did this to herself. And I LOVE reading all the comments on YouTube saying negative things about this show. They make me laugh. Keep them coming LOL

I have continued to watch this. I have actually laughed and cried. I wish they would not have killed Rosanne off either, but I am not going to stop watching because she is off of it.

I only pulled up the episode where Becky is in rehab and Dan is trying to help her surface her anger. Powerful stuff. I'm glad this show was on.

I do miss Rosanne but I adore the other characters as well and when talking about real life, this show going back to its very beginnings has always tackled the very real things working class families have coped with &/or experienced. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel without Rosanne’s presence but I do feel the cast did an amazing job on continuing the traditional idea of this show. It’s sad Rosanne was written off via opioid overdose but I do see why they went that road seeing she had this problem at the end of the last season of Rosanne. She even hid her pills on Dan in the ice pack in the freezer. So I see why they went there. Not to mention sticking true to this show touching on issues many people are facing today, most of us know someone suffering from addiction or have ourselves. No matter your opinion on it, the fact is it’s a huge problem in our country and has been for a very long time. So yes I’m sad that’s how she was written off, but I do get it & I also appreciate how much she gave up to ensure they could go on with the show. I don’t believe Rosanne is a bad person or a racist. I think she’s great. I may not agree with everything she says but I still think she’s so talented and truly missed on this show. However I think The Connors was absolutely wonderful. I think they did a fabulous job keeping true to their roots and of course the acting is always incredible when it’s John, Laurie & everyone else. So I truly hope the have a season 2 of The Connors. They left on a cliff hanger too so I want to know what happens. I do wish they would do more than 11 episodes. I miss the longer seasons but I am happy to even get the 11. So I won’t complain!

Devastated over absence of Rosie. But this show is as good as the original show. And most of the cast is still here. This feels like a real family. Then and now. Timeless Connors. Still love it. The spirit is still here.
