Just to be clear, the reason there are high fees on ETH is because of a limitation in its design, it’s not like part of a master plan to prevent ddos attacks …. ETH can’t decide to just lower fees and increase TPS …… It’s preferable to start with a lightning fast blockchain like SOL where you can choose to raise the fees to prevent this sort of thing. SOL is having these problems because the spamming is happening at the network level, even before anything hits the blockchain, which knocks out validators…. Solana is working on tech fixes for this ….. no one said it was going to be easy ….. it’s kinda like Tesla, years of tech pain, and then BOOM!

Solana is going to start making fee's on the solana blockchain to prevent botters, it'll be small but when you're doing 6 million of these, it'll cost you serious money. That's how solana will fix it.

Honestly, there's no winners. SOL goes down/congested, while ETH's fees skyrocket. Effectively, they're both unusable for me.

I don't think the use of gas is to prevent bots, this new L1's presents new problems Polygon crash, Solana Crash, Harmony one crash... I think need more development to be more resilent

It would not take millions of dollars a second to ddos eth, just outbidding 99% of transactions on gas would have the same effect. 1 eth per second would get the job done. They emptied fomo long with that little trick.
