Are you considering upper eyelid surgery? Here are a few things to keep in mind: surgery is performed under local anesthesia (so you're totally awake), downtime is about 7-10 days, stitches are removed about 6 days after the procedure (painless), no makeup or exercise for 2-3 weeks.

My surgeon suggests using dissolving stitches instead of removeable stitches. I've never heard of an upper bleph done with dissolvable ones. Should I be concerned?

Just had quad bleph done. Was put under twilight anesthesia using propofol. Was not “awake like at the dentist”. I was still breathing on my own, so not put all the way under, but definitely not aware of anything going on like I am at the dentist. Unless you’re talking about when the dentist puts you under to remove your wisdom teeth.

Could we see a Black or Indian patient with a significantly darker skin tone for scarring progression over time? We tend to scar darker in general.
