This dessert is a game changer!

I make cookie fruit pizzas for spring.

Years ago I made a large fruit pizza. I flattened sugar cookie dough on a round pizza pan and baked it. After it cooled, I spread softened cream cheese mixed with a bit of sugar. I decorated with the colorful fruits. It's so pretty. Cut it into thin triangles just like pizza slices.

A very similar dish is making a pate sucree (sweet pastry) shallow tart case, individual size, , making a creme patissere (custard) for a not too thick base covering layer, putting fresh fruit pieces on top, and then brushing with a fruit glaze if liked. Google will give you illustrations and recipes. I like the flat base of this - would it be crunchy? I no longer make these gorgeous concoctions - no point doing it for one. So I just buy every now and then from good cake shops. I do have a sweet tooth, I have to be very firm with myself, not indulge too often at all. But indulge when there are family get togethers. Why on earth would anyone use Cool Whip? Just read the label for the ingredients! I've seen comments where people say they use it because it's non-dairy. It ISN'T non-dairy - it has (along with hydrogenated oil & corn syrup) milk products!
