The randomness is not gone. The fixed missions are just the convergences just as in regular Warcry. The difference is that now you need to roll for the random missions in the book, instead of them providing cards. I also wish they would have included the cards, for the price you're paying it's a little ridiculous that they couldn't add a few cards :(

im new in this minis world, so im about to start my journey, and considering catacomb as my 1st collection... should i skip then? haha coz im eyeing kickstarter bardsung also (but catacomb is released already, so i can get asap~)

This scares me about future releases, it should be no more than £95 for what you get. I can see blood bowl costing the same

Still gonna buy catacombs, at least I can recoup some funds on-selling the additional core book and duplicate terrain
