In this video I am talking about how to pause before reacting to a situation. It can be an auto control issue or talking to somebody

We all have an impulse to react. Either it is to a decision you make or some external things happening around you. Like stop yourself from eating or getting anxious to un replied text messages.
If you can put a pause before you react, you might make better choices and don't feel bad in the end.
Stopping and pausing also gives you awareness. If you are aware of the problem you have a chance to work on it and eventually fix it. Knowing your triggers will be a big help in changing your behavior.
If you find yourself in difficult situations like not resisting to food or the urge to yell at your child, Pause for a moment

Some of the practices that get me back to my center are Tai Chi, Qigong and Mindfulness Meditation. I feel amazing afterwards.

I've found the typical breathing exercises are effective for me. In for four, hold for four, exhale with pressure for 8. Since it's what I do to begin my meditations, my parasympathetic nervous system seems to respond right away. My mindfulness practice (again, strengthened via meditation) is how I catch my body-response. It's usually a fidgety feeling, or extra movement with my hands, or a change in my breathing pattern, which I can feel in my chest (faster, shorter breaths). Not surprisingly, I seem to do this most often either driving, or dealing with work stress. LOL
